Our History
Blue River Island Baptist Church was formed in 1865 and reorganized in 1925.
It first met in a former school house that was moved up on the hill by Paradise
Bottom. In 1947, the building was moved back down into the bottom. In 1952,
Sunday
School rooms were added to the structure.
In 2000, we started construction on a new facility. With the help of many people, we completed the buildings in 2003. God blessed us in many ways in the process through donations of time, money, and resources. Now, we have modern facilities in which to worship God and minister to our community.
While we have a long history in this community, we won't just rest on that history. We are continuing to help our community through many ways. To learn more, visit our Future page.
