Battletown is located next to the Ohio River in Meade County. When you look at Meade county on a map, look for the big loop at the top. That loop is called Big Bend, and is about 10 miles from the actual city of Battletown. However, that general area has a Battletown address.
The town has been around for a while, but it is still a small country town. Based on census data, the 40104 Battetown zip code has around 1200 people, but that also includes Wolf Creek. That is another small town, but it does not have it's own post office; that is why it is counted with Battletown.
Battetown is small, but the people are real friendly, and visitors are welcome. There is a community park that can be used for things like reunions and parties, and we would like to see you visit someday.
