Church – noun: a building used for worship; or a body of believers.

Blue River Island Baptist Church is more than just a building and it’s more than people who come together for worship. We are a family of believers. We care about one another and want to help those in our community.

This site is meant for members, visitors, or people just looking for answers. We have information on service times and events, sermons, and help for those we are seeking it. If you don’t see it, get in touch with us and ask.

Whether you are young or mature, long term Christian, new believer, or just wanting to know more, you are welcome at Blue River Island Baptist.

Coming to visit us?

First, we want to welcome you to join us. If you have any questions about what to expect, we’ll try to answer them here. If not, you can also contact us with what you want to know.

What to wear? There is no dress code, so wear what you are comfortable in. We have people come wearing shorts and T-shirts, others dress up more. We care more about you being here than what you are wearing.

What is the service like? We sing both hymns and contemporary songs. We begin with songs, have a time of greeting, then do announcements. After that, we take up an offering, have special music (or another congregational song, and a children’s message. After that, we have the sermon, and close with an invitation and song. There may be some small changes now and then, but we like to keep it simple.

When does it start? On Sundays, we have Christ Groups at 10am and worship at 11am. Wednesday evening Bible study is at 6pm. All times are eastern, or fast time if you are more familiar with that term.
